I read a blog by Robyn titled “You are Enough” and it inspired me to write about this. Like I always say–“A story is not a story until you share it with someone.” It was some time ago but I remember it well. I had a trailer at that time and was doing some cleaning when I went into the bathroom to wash my hands. I heard a voice say—“I`m lonely.” I/me/we reached out and held that voice and said, “You`re not alone, you never were.” It was something that never happened to me before. I felt I was part of a group that was comforting someone. I never did find out what it was all about—probably just my imagination.
It makes you think about all the people in the world that used to or never could communicate with others in the traditional methods. It makes you think about the cruelty that some people visit those who are different. Autism, strokes, birth defects are just a few of the barriers that prevent some from communicating with the world around them. I hope you remember this story when you encounter such people in the world.
